This informal, inspiring evening is packed with practical tips and accompanied by information for you to take away. It is suitable for complete beginners as well as those wishing to refresh their existing mindfulness practice: we welcome teenagers and adults, men and women. You will not be asked to join in any group activities apart from a short meditation, but will have plenty of opportunities to ask questions if you wish to do so.
The event will be hosted by Katie Sheen, whose style is light, fun and fills you with confidence to enjoy using simple mindfulness techniques throughout each day, not just on the meditation cushion! Katie is a fully qualified teacher who has been practising mindfulness in her own life for over 15 years. She continues to study mindful living in the tradition of Zen Buddhist Master Thich Nhat Hanh, though her events are suitable for those of all faiths or none. Tickets are £20 each, with numbers limited to a maximum of 14 people. The location is Amaranth Health & Wellbeing Clinic, 19 Bramhall Lane South, Bramhall, Stockport, Cheshire SK7 1AL, and the workshop will run from 7.30 to 9.00pm.
