Mindfulness for Self-Esteem

Wednesday 15th February 2017, 7.30-9.00pm

Mindfulness for Love

In this gentle, uplifting workshop we will explore ways of softening our inner critic so that we become kinder to ourselves, allowing our self-esteem & self-confidence to blossom.

You will learn mindfulness techniques for feeling safe, supported, strong and connected to yourself and to the world around you.

You will also discover mindful ways of listening and speaking in order to resolve both inner and outer issues that may be causing your self-esteem to suffer. These simple, compassionate communication techniques will give you the confidence to express yourself more clearly without causing conflict. They can then be used to peacefully untangle the inevitable misunderstandings that arise in even the most harmonious of personal or professional relationships, so that you and those around you can become happier.

This informal, inspiring evening is packed with practical tips and accompanied by information for you to take away. It is suitable for complete beginners as well as those wishing to refresh their existing mindfulness practice: we welcome teenagers and adults, men and women. You will not be asked to join in any group activities apart from a short meditation, but will have plenty of opportunities to ask questions if you wish to do so.

Mindfulness & Mindful Eating teacherThe event will be hosted by Katie Sheen, whose style is light, fun and fills you with confidence to enjoy using simple mindfulness techniques throughout each day, not just during sitting meditations. Katie is a fully qualified teacher who has been practising mindfulness in her own life for over 15 years. She continues to study mindful living in the tradition of Zen Buddhist Master Thich Nhat Hanh, though her events are suitable for those of all faiths or none.
