Nourish Mindful Eating Food DiaryWould you like to get more pleasure from less cake?!

In this non-judgemental and supportive monthly mindful eating group you will discover how to turn mealtimes into mindful meditations, reducing stress and bringing you gently into the present moment, so that mealtimes become less of a minefield and more of a joy.

Mindful eating shines a light on what is really go on for you. It helps you achieve your ideal weight, relax any difficult relationships with food and enhances your ability to make positive choices without feeling under pressure. It also means you simply relax and enjoy food more!

  • Feel more connected to yourself, your food and the world around you.
  • Develop an open, flexible and relaxed relationship with food.
  • Build the confidence you need to find your way through the maze of nutritional advice.

Mindful Eating Thich Nhat HanhThis informal, inspiring evening is packed with practical tips and accompanied by information for you to take away. We welcome teenagers and adults, men and women, those with lots of mindfulness experience or none at all. It complements any weight loss or healthy eating programmes that you may be following, and there is no obligation to attend each month.

We don’t shy away from discussing difficult topics, but there is always plenty of laughter, encouragement and sharing of positive experiences. New people are always welcome and the group is different each month in terms of who is there and what we talk about. Light refreshments are provided.

Sharing food together will give you a direct experience of how to bring mindful attention to your experiences around eating. If you have special dietary requirements, please bring along something that you are relaxed about enjoying.


Katie Sheen mindfulness meditation teacherThe evening will be hosted by Katie Sheen, a nutritional therapist who has taught on Diploma and Masters degree courses, trained health professionals and run numerous events for the public. Her style is light, fun and fills you with the confidence to enjoy food without guilt or anxiety. Raised in the hospitality industry, she knows that food should be something to celebrate and enjoy.

Katie has been practising mindfulness in her own life for over 16 years and continues to study mindful living in the tradition of Zen Buddhist Master Thich Nhat Hanh, though her events are suitable for those of all faiths or none. Tickets are £20 each, with numbers limited to a maximum of 10 people. The location is EPOK, 75 Wellington Road South, Stockport, Cheshire SK7 3RU, and the workshop will run from 7.00 to 9.00pm.
