Do you wish that you could relax & enjoy life more? On this peaceful luxury retreat you will discover simple mindfulness techniques to reduce anxiety. During 5 workshops over 3 days you will learn how to step off the exhausting treadmill of worry. There will be time to practice how to calm your body, settle your mind & build a stronger sense of security. You will also have supported opportunities to look at repetitive, circular thought patterns, gaining insight as to why they arise & hence how to think or respond more calmly, constructively & joyfully to life.
Learn simple techniques to help you feel more relaxed, positive, connected and contented. Nurture an inner core of peaceful strength, a sense of clarity, and an ability to focus more effectively. Create space for insight to arise about whatever is needed to allow more happiness into your personal or professional life, and learn to communicate compassionately and effectively with yourself and others.
You will have time to explore how to become kinder to yourself, let go of the things that hold you back, and experience the freedom to live life more deeply and joyfully than ever before.
Five workshops over three days will explain clearly and precisely the basic principles of mindfulness for anxiety that are invaluable to incorporate into everyday life, however busy you may be. Discover mindful breathing, sitting, walking, cooking, eating and more in a relaxed, supportive environment, including a morning plus lunch in the Lucknam Park Cookery School as well as unlimited access to the Spa and Parkland. Enjoy plenty of opportunities to practice all that you learn, so that you are clear as to how to continue enjoying simple but transformative mindful living techniques when you return home.
This retreat is open to men and women with little or no experience of mindfulness or meditation, as well as those wishing to deepen their existing practice with particular reference to anxiety. The content is suitable for those of all faiths or none, but is inspired by the form of “Applied” or “Engaged” Buddhism taught by Zen Buddhist Master Thich Nhat Hanh, who was proposed for the Nobel Peace Prize by Martin Luther King in 1967.
Each session will include teaching, discussion and practical exercises, plus time for questions. You will also be given personal space to rest and reflect, and Katie will be glad to offer additional support if needed.
